MINUTES -- WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, 2001
ATTENDING:

at 9:05 a.m.
ADMINISTRATIVE: The Planning Commission made
recommendations to approve the following: Residents from Wetherill Estates were in attendance at the Board of Supervisors meeting regarding the community water system. The Board of Supervisors after hearing their comments and concerns rejected the offer of dedication on the grounds of the second well is not complete. Mrs. Perkins updated the EAC of the Regional Planning/Zoning meetings. There have been four meetings, which have been taking place at the Township. The next meeting is scheduled for April 25, 2001. The Griffith Property has been put on the market. MAIL: A notice was received from the attorney representing the Exxon Corporation stating that they have decided not to pursue the pending land development plan at this time.
REPORTS: The GEYA has started to make the improvements they need to the baseball and soccer fields at the Township Park. The trash cans and picnic tables will be put in and Mr. Wideman discussed with the EAC about putting cement pads under the picnic tables. All were in favor.
Review letters from Castle Valley, Frone Crawford and Allan Greenwood regarding the Grading Ordinance and the Zoning/SLDO Ordinance have been review and the Planning Commission will make a formal recommendation at their May meeting, Pete Moscufo has reviewed them for the EAC and has no recommendation.
The Land Trust had a guest speaker at their April meeting from Willistown Township, to speak about their Land Trust and partnership program.
SUBDIVISIONS/ZONING: On February 26, 2001 the Board of Supervisors agreed that the Fiscal Impact Study needed to be prepared for The Preserve at Birchrun Subdivision Plan ( Woodstone) and preliminary plan approval was granted.
A lot line change on a 4-acre parcel located at 1912 Kimberton Road has been submitted for Francis and Louis Vance. The plan has been distributed for review.
The EAC reviewed the Conditional Use application for Mr. Richard Harrington, while they understand that a revised plan is being submitted to the township, they make the following recommendations; the width of the cartway should be reduced substantially, as drawn it is as wide as many township roads, the cartway should follow grade wherever possible, natural stone retaining walls should be incorporated where feasible to reduce cuts, and tree preservation should be given a high priority.
Weatherstone Development (Hankin) status report from Castle Valley states many outstanding issue that need to be resolve, Sewage Facilities, Traffic and Highway Improvement and Stormwater Management, plus they have not been given approval from the DEP. The Hankin group will need to submit a revised plan.
The next EAC meeting is Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. |
