WEST VINCENT TOWNSHIP
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
MINUTES -- MONDAY, APRIL 2, 2001
The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building was called to order at 8:15 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisors Zoë Perkins and Township Manager Allen Heist. The West Vincent Township Planning Commission has been reviewing proposed Zoning Ordinance amendments; their recommendation to the Board is expected following the April 19th meeting. The Board will consider clarification of the recreation land set-aside/fee in lieu requirement.
Emergency Management Coordinator David Monteith has suggested picture identification cards to accompany the Travel Authorization Letter, which authorizes municipal representatives (Board members, Township Manager, Road Department, Emergency Management Team, Police, and Fire Company personnel) to travel on Commonwealth highways during emergencies; the issue was tabled.
The Police Department issued a citation to a vehicle, which exceeded the posted Buttonwood Lane Bridge weight limit. Since a visual inspection by Township officials showed no damage, a bridge engineer inspection would not be conducted at this time.
Richard Guarini, The Hankin Group, requested the review status of the Weatherstone Declaration of Covenants documents; it was noted that these documents are not required for preliminary plan approval.
The Zoning Hearing Board will meet Thursday, April 5, 2001 at 8 p.m. to render a decision on the Pitcher application.
Proposals for cleaning services of the township building were received from Butler’s Janitorial Service, Miriam Newman, and Barbara Aglira Cleaning. A motion was made by Mrs. Perkins, seconded by Mr. Miller, to accept the proposal from Barbara Aglira Cleaning to provide weekly cleaning services at a cost of $75.00 per week; the motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:05 a.m.
