Chairman Jim Wendelgass called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Vince Kling made a motion second by Jean Warrick to reappoint Jim Wendelgass as Chairman and Kate Damsgaard as Vice Chairman, all in favor.
A Conditional Use hearing was held on January 15, 2001 for Woodstone Development, Inc. The purpose of the hearing was to take action on the construction of individual driveways, stormwater management facilities and for grading of cut and fill not to exceed 33%. The hearing will be continued on Monday, February 26, 2001 and a decision will be given at that time. The Zoning Hearing Board met on January 17, 2001, to consider any additional evidence regarding the Paul and Shirley Pitcher application, the property is located on French Creek Road. The Zoning Hearing Board will meet again on Thursday, February 1, and Thursday, February 22, 2001 to hear additional testimony. Cynthia Clark’s application for a variance to keep six dogs on her property at 2534 Flowing Springs Road was heard, the Zoning Hearing Board will meet on site and then reschedule another hearing. There will be a Regional Planning/Zoning meeting on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Township building.
A work session will be held on Thursday,
February 8, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. to review the Zoning Amendments. SUBDIVISION: The Planning Commission discussed the Hammond/Nash
subdivision application for the property located at 2540 Beaver
Hill Road, owned by Gayle L. Hammond, and 2400 Beaver Hill
Road owned by Claude Nash (equitable owner), for a lot line
change. Wheeler Aman made a motion and was second by Claire
Quinn to make a recommendation to approve the Hammond/Nash Subdivision upon Castle Valley’s review letter. All in favor. Mr. Wideman met with a representative from Burger and Hayes regarding the Susan P. Thomas subdivision at 1562 Pughtown Road, they will make the necessary changes and submit a revised plan at the February 15, 2001 Planning Commission meeting. Rick Guarini from the Hankin Group (Weatherstone Development) was present to review the letters from Gannett Fleming regarding the Highway Improvement Plan and the DEP letter for the Planning Module. Laymen’s Home (Woodstone Development) has submitted the Part 2 NPDES sewage permit application. Evans Mill made revisions according to the review letter from Castle Valley, they addressed the spray nozzle height, stormwater basin vs. wet pond. After a lengthy discussion Vince Kling made a motion second by Wheeler Aman to recommend that the Part 2 permit be signed with the following condition, they comply with Castle Valley’s conditions and that the original letter of conditions written by the planning commission be attached. All in favor. NEW BUSINESS: No new business. The minutes from the December 21, 2000 meeting were approved. The meeting was adjourned at 9:40 p.m. |
