WEST VINCENT TOWNSHIP
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
MINUTES --
MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 2001

The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 9:10 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisor Zoë Perkins, Township Manager Allen Heist, and Township Engineer Craig Kologie.

A copy of a draft Public Records Policy was distributed to the Board for review; a Resolution addressing the Policy will be placed on the January 22nd Board of Supervisors agenda.

A follow-up inquiry will be sent to Comcast Cable Communications, Inc. requesting that Comcast make available Internet access as part of the cable service within West Vincent Township.

Craig Kologie updated the Board on the following:

  • Columbia Gas Transmission – reviewing a road occupancy permit application for fiber optic installation along Sheeder Mill Road.
  • Hankin Tract (Weatherstone) Preliminary Subdivision Plan – reviewing the revised plan submitted in December.  Revisions to the stormwater management approach are pending.  A status letter will be submitted to the Planning Commission prior to their meeting Thursday.  Manager Heist indicated that The Hankin Group had forwarded a road improvement plan to Gannett Fleming, Inc.; the Township has requested a copy of the plan.
  • Laymen’s Home Missionary Movement Preliminary Subdivision Plan (Woodstone) – DEP approval has been received for Part I of the Sewage Planning Module; Evans Mill Environmental has been requested to provide an “overspray” evaluation from the spray nozzle manufacturer as part of the Part II review.
  • Wetherill Estates Dedication – The primary outstanding road issue prior to offer of dedication is the entrance road to the water plant.  Some of the stormwater easements need to be corrected.

Mrs. Perkins reported that work has begun on the Township Newsletter with an emphasis on “roads” for the February issue.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
