"Hallowe'en, Hayley"
Click ABOVE to gain full benefit of this still from SKY WEST AND CROOKED, a.k.a. GYPSY GIRL, starring Hayley Mills, produced and directed by her father John Mills.
This page contains images from two British films that have rarely been available to her fans in the U.S. The repetitive motif on this page is the Mandelbrot Death's Head, an orignal design by Nucleus G (use it wisely :).....
BELOW are vidcaps from the (color) film ENDLESS NIGHT starring Hayley Mills, based on the book by Agatha Christie; a Frank Launder - Sidney Gilliat Production made in association with British Lion Films Limited and EMI Film Productions Limited (1972).

Apparitions of dead Ellie: Hallucinations, visitations, call them what you will. Hayley Mills plays Ellie, a sweet guileless heiress who is poisoned by cyanide in her asthma medication. In the first sequence she is a faceless "wraith". Hayley's last appearance is as a smiling stiff (death warmed over). She fades out to a drawing of an enormous eye containing the words "THOU, GOD, SEE'ST ME".

ABOVE: Nightgowned Ellie observes a menacing figure on the grounds of her estate.

Above in ENDLESS NIGHT, ethereal Ellie sings the following words waltz-time while accompanying herself on the clavichord: "...Some are born to sweet delight; Some are born to endless night..." It is beautiful to see and hear. The lyrics were taken from verse penned long ago by the great British poet/artist William Blake. The song Hayley sings, (along with the rest of the wonderful score) is from the composer Bernard Herrmann (PSYCHO, VERTIGO, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, etc.). The film was also one of the first to employ the Moog synthesizer.
