Chairman Wendelgass called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.
The Kennedy Subdivision is a 5-acre annexation between Conestoga Road and Trego Road. Review letters are still outstanding. No action was taken at this meeting.
Vince Kling submitted a 3-lot subdivision; the property is on the S.E. side of Birchrun Road and Shady Lane. Kate Damsgaard made a motion, second by Claire Quinn to recommend approval of the Kling Family Property subdivision; all in favor.
The Hammond application is for a two-lot subdivision on 2540 Beaver Hill Road. A motion was made by Vince Kling and second by Kate Damsgaard to approve the plan upon the approval by the Township Solicitor of driveway easement agreements; all in favor.
Weatherstone (Hankin Tract) submitted plans and a Hydrological study which as been sent out for review.
David Beideman, John Bachich for Laymen’s Home (Woodstone) were present to show overlays of alternatives to reduce impact to the steep slope areas. The Planning Commission made the recommendation to bring the raise road and reduce grading to the 3 to 1 slopes that will make it easier to mow.
The Gallagher conditional use application is for the installation of a driveway in steep slopes for a single-family home located on the south side of Conestoga Road near St. Matthews Road. Dave Beideman will make changes to the Gallagher plan per Robert Wideman review letter and resubmit a revised plan for the October 19, 2000 planning Commission meeting.
Carl Massara of 1211 Hollow Road submitted a conditional use application for a basketball court in steep slopes; no plans have been received as of this time. The Planning Commission made a recommendation to deny the application because no plans were attached and that a basketball court does not fit the requirements for a conditional use.
The motion was made by Jean Warrick and second by Kate Damsgaard.
The amendments to the Zoning Ordinance will be reviewed with Frone Crawford at the November 9, 2000 workshop.
Kate Damsgaard asked the opinion of the Planning Commission on the Regional Planning. Clare Quinn made the suggestion that the Board of Supervisors start meeting with adjacent Townships to gather more information and feed back of what zoning needs each Township has.
