The Chairperson called the meeting to order at 9:45 a.m. Minutes from the June 5, 2000 meeting were approved.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
Planning Commission will be holding a work session on Thursday, August 10, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. to review the Woodstone Development (Laymen’s Home) Sewage Facilities Planning Module.
The Board of Supervisors reported that a revised draft of the Sewage Facilities Planning Module Agreement for the Hankin Tract was given the approval to be sent to the PADEP with the understanding that a note be added to the plan giving the Board the right to hold building permits if the system is not maintained properly. The Township Municipal Complex site work and the general contracting will be rebid. The bids will be opened on the 21st of August with the awards given on August 28, 2000. A representative from Newtown Township, Bucks County, will be at the September 14th 2000 Planning Commission work session regarding regional planning and zoning issues and Frone Crawford will also be in attendance to discuss Acts 67 and 68. The Fasel Subdivision is waiting to be finalized per Allan Greenwood.
The EAC will meet on Tuesday, September 5, 2000 at 9:30 due to the Labor Day holiday.
REPORTS:
Matthews Meadows Sewage System - The Township has received a notice of violation from DEP regarding algae, suspended solids, and spray field maintenance. The operator/ owner and the Township will respond.
Polay v. West Vincent Township - Polay has requested reargument through Commonwealth Court.
PennDOT has a roadside spray program that is in use every three years. If you do not want your area sprayed you must have a PennDOT No Spray Sign which can be obtained through PennDOT.
Pam Shillingford-Brown and Allen Heist have been working on the Township Trails, the map which was shown to the EAC will be finalized for the September 5th meeting.
The Eagle Scout project that is being done at the new Township Park is starting to be put into place. The butterfly gardens with the help of Craig Hannifin will be put in after the walking paths are finished sometime the end of August. The township will be looking for volunteers to maintain the gardens after the project is done. A local garden club, OJR, or part-time Township employee were options discussed.
West Vincent Land Trust is getting ready to apply for conservation grants with the help of Barry Cassidy, which will enable the Land Trust to buy open space easements. They are looking at all viewshed areas first.
SUBDIVISION:
Brain Hammond has submitted a Subdivision Application for the property located at 2540 Beaver Hill Road, owned by Gail L. Hammond, for a two lot subdivision. The plans have been sent out for review.
Owen J. Roberts School District/ Griffith Tract submitted sketch plans which will be reviewed by the Planning Commission. The sketch plan is for Pearl M. Griffith Farm, 1461 Pottstown Pike, for a 2-lot subdivision.
