ATTENDING: Chairman Jim Wendelgass, Vice Chairman Kate
Damsgaard, Members Wheeler Aman, Vince Kling, Clare Quinn, Jean Warrick,
Zoning Officer Robert Wideman and Township Manager Allen Heist.
Chairman Wendelgass called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.
SUBDIVISIONS
- Columbia Gas Transmission has submitted an application for
a Preliminary Subdivision/ Land Development. Review letters have been
received from the Castle Valley Consultants, Inc and Chester County
Planning Commission and Chester County Health Department.
- A preliminary/final land development plan entitled St.
Matthew's Lutheran Church, prepared by Edward B. Walsh &
Associates, Inc dated February 2, 2000 was received by Upper Uwchlan. A
portion of this property lies in West Vincent Township, Robert Wideman
our Zoning Officer has a few concerns about stormwater control, which he
will address.
- Mr. Fasel was present regarding the preliminary subdivision plan
entitled James and Karen Fasel, prepared by Medveczky Associates,
Ltd. Mr. Fasel was inquiring about the donation per lot that is
required to be set aside for open space. Mr. Heist gave Mr. Fasel an
approximate money amount based on 15,000 sq. ft @ $20,000 per acre =
$6900.00. Vince Kling gave other options other than to pay the in lieu
of fee, Kate Damsgaard expressed her support for the in lieu fee for
open space.
- Vince Kling submitted a lot-line change; the property is on
the S.E. side of Birchrun Road and Shady Lane. The plan will go out for
review.
BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR
- Neighbors from Pine Drive were there to express concerns with the
Sewage Facilities plant that was going in at Laymen's Home subdivision
and to ask about the Matthews Meadow plant suspended solids problem .The
Planning Commission discussed many concerns and options regarding all
Sewage Facilities Plant present and future.
Minutes from the February 17, meeting were approved.
