The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 8:22 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisors Karl Brachwitz and Zoë Perkins and Township Manager Allen Heist.
Township Traffic Engineer Gannett Fleming, Inc. will be requested to evaluate safety concerns on Jaine Lane (on the Birchrun Road side) and Bertolet School Road near the creek which seem to indicate the need for guiderail replacement on Jaine Lane and guiderail installation on Bertolet School Road.
Township resident Charles Richards reported that logging trucks are using the Davis Lane bridge to access the Drauschak property and Mr. Richards has requested an engineer study to confirm weight limits on the recently repaired culvert. Since completion of the logging operation is imminent and an engineer study is costly, Mr. Drauschak will be requested to instruct the logging trucks to access his property by means of Horseshoe Trail.
Mr. Miller suggested the Township consider taking over winter maintenance of Hollow Road and Flowing Springs Road; Manager Heist will research the process involved.
Mrs. Perkins distributed a rough draft of the Township Newsletter for review.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 a.m.; an executive session was held regarding a real estate matter.
