WEST VINCENT TOWNSHIP
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
MINUTES - JANUARY 17, 2000

The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 8:15 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisor Karl Brachwitz and Township Manager Allen Heist.

Code Enforcement Officer Robert Wideman has requested the Board to consider compensatory time in lieu of paid overtime. The Board agreed compensatory time would be awarded at the rate of one and one-half hours for each hour worked over forty hours per week with records submitted to Manager Heist on a monthly basis. Compensatory time accrued during the calendar year may be accumulated up to a maximum of 40 hours and carried-over to the following year; the Employee Manual will be revised to reflect this provision.

St. Matthews United Church of Christ, Conestoga and St. Matthews Roads, plans to demolish their shed on the north side of Conestoga Road and install a new shed behind the church building on the south side of Conestoga Road and has requested the Board to waive permit fees. It was noted that demolition of the current shed would improve sight distance at the intersection. The Board agreed to waive the application and permit fees; however, St. Matthews UCC will be required to submit plans for demolition and installation of the new shed for review and demolition shall be completed prior to the installation of the new shed.

Correspondence was received from Cathers & Associates, Inc., architect for the municipal complex, concerning clarifying the responsibilities for tasks during the construction phase of the project. Board members will review the proposal and notify Manager Heist of any changes.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:27 a.m.
