RESOLUTION NO. 12 - 1999

WHEREAS; George M. (Mike) Burnley Jr. was a member of the Planning Commission of West Vincent Township from July 24, 1969 to July 15, 1975, Board of Supervisors of West Vincent Township from January 7, 1974 to December 31, 1991, Environmental Advisory Council of West Vincent Township from January 6, 1992 to December 31, 1999, charter member and representative to the Federation of Northern Chester County from 1975 to December 31, 1999 and Treasurer of West Vincent Township from January 4, 1988 to December 31, 1999; and

WHEREAS; George M. Burnley Jr. was instrumental in the formation of zoning and planning policies, standards, goals and operations of this Township since July 24, 1969; and

WHEREAS; George M. Burnley Jr. gave unselfishly of his time, energy, talents and leadership to this Community for thirty years; and

WHEREAS; West Vincent Township feels a great loss with the retirement of one of its most devoted citizens; therefore

BE IT RESOLVED; that the Boards, Commissions, Residents and Citizens of West Vincent Township express their thanks, appreciation and gratitude to George M. Burnley Jr.; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that a copy of this resolution be made part of the minutes of the December 27, 1999 meeting of the Board of Supervisors of West Vincent Township.
