BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
MINUTES - DECEMBER 6, 1999

The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 8:15 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisors Zoë Perkins and Karl Brachwitz and Township Manager Allen Heist.

The Board of Supervisors will hold the yearly reorganization meeting on Tuesday, January 4, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. and their regular meeting on Monday, January 10th.

The Board of Auditors will hold their reorganization meeting Wednesday, January 5, 2000; in addition to setting compensation for Supervisor's work when employed as Roadmaster, laborers, and superintendent, the Auditors will be requested to include compensation for construction manager of the new municipal complex.

Anna May Houck and Veronica Monteith have expressed interest in being reappointed to the two vacant Auditor positions.

An executive session was held at 8:25 a.m. regarding personnel and potential litigation matters; the administrative meeting resumed at 8:45 a.m.

The Zoning Hearing Board met Monday, November 29th to consider the application of Paul and Shirley Pitcher; the hearing has been continued to December 6th and, if needed, December 14th.

An educational forum on the transfer of development rights conducted by Mr. Jeff Butler, Director of Planning and Zoning of Mannheim Township, has been rescheduled to the Tuesday, February 1st West Vincent Land Trust meeting.

The Board concurred with the EAC's recommendation on the appointment of Laura Hardt to fill the Environmental Advisory Council vacant term, which expires December 31, 2002.

The 2000 Preliminary Budget will be adjusted to reflect an increase in wages to $13.50/hour for part-time road worker Mike Hogga.
