WEST VINCENT TOWNSHIP
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
MINUTES - NOVEMBER 29, 1999

The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 8:25 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisors Zoë Perkins and Karl Brachwitz and Township Manager Allen Heist.

The Board may consider placing the open space referendum issue on the November 2000 ballot.

Manager Heist confirmed Ludwigs Corner Fire Company does not need special approval from the Board for mutual aid or back-up calls to ensure insurance coverage; specific approval is required for fringe activities outside the fire district.

Mr. Brachwitz and Manager Heist met Tuesday, November 23rd with David Schoenhard, Cathers & Associates, Inc., the architectural firm for the municipal complex, to review final building plans. Per Mr. Schoenhard's suggestion, Manager Heist has received three quotes for radon testing ranging from $110 - $150 and is looking into asbestos removal procedures and costs. The final building plans will be reviewed at the December 13th Board of Supervisor meeting for public comment; bid specifications for the new municipal complex will be prepared for letting after the first of the year.

Castle Valley Consultants, Inc. has submitted the municipal complex site plan and landscape plan for review; suggested plan revisions included elimination of driveway and roadway pavers, driveway relocation, reorientation of the maintenance building, elimination of maintenance area parking lot, phasing the landscape plan, and changing the paved parking and driveway area to paved driveway and stone parking area.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:55 a.m.
