The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 8:00 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisors Zoë Perkins and Karl Brachwitz, and Township Manager Allen Heist.
As advertised for this date, bid proposals were received and opened for Road Materials from the following contractors:
Bids will be reviewed by the Board members and Road Foreman; primary and secondary bids will be awarded on Monday, April 5, 1999 at 8:00 a.m. during the administrative meeting.
As advertised for this date, bids were received and opened for Road Equipment Rental - Road Maintence to handle large road maintenance jobs. Two bids were received from R.W. Fetters, Inc. and Rittenbaugh, Inc. The bids will be reviewed by Board members and the Road Foreman and awarded on Monday, April 5, 1999 at 8:00 a.m. during the administrative meeting.
As advertised for this date, bids were received for Road Equipment Rental - Tree Removal/Trimming. Two bids were received from R.W. Fetters, Inc. and Rittenbaugh, Inc.; however, bids were not opened since the proposal will be re-bid due to changes in specifications and the addition of emergency rates.
At the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors held on March 22, 1999 a motion carried unanimously to approve the purchase of a John Deere F1145 Commercial Front Mower with 72" side discharge deck and attachments totaling $15,985.33 through the state piggyback contract. Motion by Mrs. Perkins, seconded by Mr. Brachwitz to amend the purchase price to $16,085.12; the amended price reflects an increase of $99.79 because incorrect pricing was received for the mower attachments. The motion carried unanimously.
