MINUTES - JANUARY 4, 1999

The Chairperson called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. Minutes
from the November 2,1998 meeting were approved
ADMINISTRATIVE:
Pam Brown and Jim Wendelgass expressed a willingness to serve another
term. They were not present.Will table to the February meeting
Board of Supervisors: Re-organizational meeting January 4, 1999
Fronefield Crawford completed background work; referendum on May
ballot regarding bond for open space
Zoning ordinance and Subdivision and Land Development were adopted
on December 28, 1998
MAIL:
- PSATS- Sunshine Law states there must be time
provided for the public to speak prior to official action, which is
already being done.
- DEP- Technical review of the application on the Michael A.
Himesworth to construct a pond on this property, indicating that
wetlands may be impacted
- PSATS- Stormwater Management Workshop - January
21st, Collegeville
REPORTS:
- Township Park - Eagle Scout candidate to plant trees at the
park
- Northern Federation - Follow up to December meeting
regarding the Sustainable Land Water Resources Management Implementation
Program discussion points included water supply (adding a public water
directive& legal opinion), wastewater and stormwater
ZONING:
- Eleanor Brown-Zoning Hearing on Tuesday, January 19, 1999
She is requesting a variance to permit the construction of a home on her
lot in such a way to encroach upon the required rear yard or side yard
OLD BUSINESS:
- Land Trust Application has been made for Tax exemption status
designation and incorporation of the West Vincent Township Land
Trust, Inc.
- Village Café- Helen W. Parke has decided to continue
to operate holding tank rather then to upgrade
- Ludwig Village- Notice of law suit regarding groundwater
contamination
SUBDIVIISIONS:
- Borst- No issues concerning the subdivision as
presented
- Fasel - Waiting for revised sketch
- The Hankin Tract - Looking for approval in January.
Planning Commission Workshop January 14, 1999
- Exxon U.S.A.- waiting for legal opinion
- Coscia - Waiting for revised preliminary plan
- Borst- 2 lots approved by the Board of Supervisors
NEW BUSINESS: Zoe Perkins submitted sketch of the Davis
Estate (135.3 Acres) showing 6 lots ranging from 15 to 35 acres.
All primary trails will be preserved.
The meeting was adjourned at 10.45 a.m. The next meeting will be
