WEST VINCENT TOWNSHIP
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

MINUTES - April 27, 1998

The regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; others in attendance were Supervisors Zoe Perkins and Karl Brachwitz, and Manager Allen Heist.

CORRESPONDENCE

Chester County Health Dept. - 1) Low-cost rabies immunization clinics throughout the county will be available on Saturday, May 2. No participating clinic will exceed a fee of $10.00 per cat or dog. In this area, the Ludwigs Corner Veterinary Hospital will participate. 2) A reminder to homeowners with on-lot sewage systems of the importance of having regular maintenance performed and being careful what goes into the system to ensure proper functioning.

SUBDIVISIONS/LAND DEVELOPMENT/ZONING

SHEEDER MILL - Board members acknowledged receipt of a plan showing revisions to and the addition of one lot to the approved Sheeder Mill plan. Motion was made by Mr. Brachwitz and second was from Mrs. Perkins.

HUNTVIEW - Al Emma, developer, requested approval of several revisions to the Declaration of Covenants for Huntview @ Horseshoe Trail, the major one being elimination of the prohibition of further subdivision, which Mr. Emma says he wants so that if adjoining lands become available to him in the future, he would like to be able to add additional lots to Huntview. Since the wording was not clear on this issue, he agreed to have it clarified so that the Board could act on his request at their Friday meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

Signal Service - The annual traffic signal maintenance contract, showing no increase over last year's contract, was unanimously approved with a motion from Mr. Brachwitz and a second from Mrs. Perkins. The amount of the contract is $525.00.

BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR

Wheeler Aman requested help from the Board to curb trespassing over his land by people accessing his land from the East Pikeland Township park property located north of (behind) Kimberbrae. Both vehicles and people have been involved and Mr. Aman has seen evidence of camping and/or campfires, as well as signs being ignored and/or torn down. Mr. Miller agreed to speak with Chief Ritschard and ask him to contact the chief of East Pikeland's police force to see if they could arrange some surveillance.

BILLS LIST

The bills list dated April 27, 1998 was approved with a motion from Mr. Brachwitz and a second from Mrs. Perkins.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
