BASIC Programming

Here are some pretty good links for information and code:

Version 4b of my GIF viewer will handle interlaced images, multiple images within a GIF, graphic control extensions, local color maps, Netscape Application Extension compatible animations and image fading. It will also allow scrolling and you can display additional GIF files without exiting the program. You can also log an English description of most of the fields in the file(s) you select. It supports VGA mode 13 (320x200 x 256 colors) as well as SVGA 256-color modes using the packed pixel memory model. You can download the 12 Feb 97 version of the zipped source and/or .exe files. Written and compiled using PowerBASIC version 3.20.

Also, I have a maze generator program that will produce 106x79 cell mazes in VGA (640x480 x 16 color) mode. It will also solve them for you if you wish. You can download the 16 May 96 version of the zipped source and/or .exe files. Written and compiled using PowerBASIC version 3.20.

It's December in snow country. The holidays are approaching. Standing alone at the top of a hill is a tall evergreen tree. Someone has decorated it with lighted spheres that change color. And it looks like it's about to start snowing... Download version 1.04 (dated 21 Dec 96) of the zipped source and/or .exe files of this holiday scene, which was designed for a VGA (640x480 x 16 color) display. Written and compiled using PowerBASIC version 3.20.
